So, in my family there is a long tradition of X-mas tree shopping adventures. It usually involves very cold weather, snow or sleet, many lost gloves, and much complaining from my father, who's toes are frozen by the time his women have finally chosen the perfect tree. And nine times out of ten the "perfect tree" was the tree we saw 5 minutes into the endeavor but passed up to make sure we wouldn't miss the perfect one. This year was no different with respect to the tree hunt, the weather however was down right balmy! My father had very little to complain about. :) So, while my parents were here for Thanksgiving weekend we took the twins on their first , what I now affectionately call the "Christmas Tree Hunt".
And this time, "the perfect one" was ALL the way up the hill...
Not only did we make Papa cut it down, we made Grandma and Papa carry it down the hill.
In order to avoid an ill-fated Gryffin and tree encounter...
Grandma wisely stepped in to hold Gryffin.
I'll just end with a few random pictures over the past few weeks...
