I'm not sure how we ended up having 3 trick-or-treat outings, but we did. Yes, 3 outings! So, including the parade at day care, the kids got dressed up 4 times between Saturday morning and tonight. Crazy! But, I really feel we got our money out of those costumes!
The kids were really starting to get it by the end. Poor Gryffin wanted to eat so many of the the treats. But, he's so cute, he savors every bit of it - it takes him forever to eat something. As an example, on Friday night we celebrated Jesse's birthday. We got little mini cupcakes from the grocery store and put a candle in each one, that way we could all blow them out. Anyway, Zailey woofed hers down in 3 bites flat. Gryffin licked the top, nibbled the side, licked the top again, then licked his hand, picked up the crumbs from the counter, licked his hand again, nibbled the side, you get the idea. But, by this time, Zailey assumes he has somehow gotten a second cupcake and starts to demand one for herself. Gryffin, being the sweet little boy he is, offered her the rest (the majority) of his. She jumped at the opportunity, but we stepped in and made sure he got to finish his own cupcake. They are cute.
