So, over the weekend we decided to try a new adventure - a longer car ride. Long enough, in fact, to get to Tahoe to visit Jesse's brother, Clay and his wife Milena. Tahoe has gotten a lot of good snow these days, and I miss the snow (this probably seems ridiculous to those of you with a few feet on your deck these days!).
So, we packed up our hordes of baby stuff, put the babies in the car and set out for our first car ride longer than 45 minutes. The babies actually did really well both directions. But, Gryffin did have a little trouble with the altitude change. We didn't do much but relax over the weekend. Jesse needed a weekend off, and after submitting a 7 institution, 8 PI grant on Friday - it was well deserved! But we did try to take the babies out in the snow again.
This time it went much better. Zailey even tried a little on her tongue.
Zailey loved her uncle Clay and his strange noises. She would just sit on his lap and smile at the buzzing sound he made.
Gryffin spent most of his time with us, since he wasn't feeling super great. But he did enjoy chewing on Daddy's head.
And the rest of the time, sleeping on Daddy's lap...
