I can't believe the babies are 7 months old! They have really made some great changes over the past few weeks. The biggest for both of them is sitting up - reliably. Here's a couple of pictures of the two of them sitting up next to each other.
Gryffin prefers to sit now,
but Zailey really likes to be horizontal. And that's because she just started doing the inchworm forward crawl. It was practically an overnight change. So, she is now incredibly mobile, particularly in comparison to her brother. Animals beware!

Another big change over the past few weeks besides daycare, is that they are now sleeping all the time (naps and nighttime) without the swaddle. We were terrified to give this up because we thought it was the only thing keeping them from waking up all night long. But they actually both rejected it within the same week. And amazingly the transition went very smoothly. So, they still sleep through the night (generally - there's always strange things that come up, particularly given the back-to-back colds from daycare!).
Zailey also really likes to drink her own bottle and is getting the hang of the sippy cup.
We also seem to get out a bit more lately, not that this is earth shattering news - sleep helps with energy levels! So, we were at a friend's 1st birthday a few weeks ago and Zailey fell asleep in the strangest position,
This has to be one of my favorite pictures of my two boys,
Just to finish up, next week we're off to Portland for Jesse's SSA (seismological society of america) meeting. And given our new found energy we're even contemplating some home improvement - a bathroom renovation! Don't worry, we'll come to our senses at about the time we rip out a few fixtures and realize there is NO way we can be that handy! Zailey is stil making her classic faces for the camera,

OMG, they are so incredibly sweet! I loved that age, where you could just plop them down and they didn't really go far. They're learning so fast!
Those are some wicked cute babies you have there! Sweet, sweet, sweet!!!
They are precious!! I can't believe how big they are, and their faces are so expressive :)
