So, last week we took a family trip to Portland Oregon. Actually, Jesse had a conference and we all tagged along for an extended stay. The kids were great on the fight up there. In fact, Jesse was able to put a passed out Gryffin on the seats next to him and pull his computer out and work for 45 minutes. Unfortunately, the karma gods repaid him in full on the flight home. Poor Zailey downed way too much milk and throw up all over him.
But here she is on the way to Portland perfectly happy to play with her favorite monkey (thanks for the gift Kim!)
This was the first time that I have had to entertain the kids all day in a strange place while Jesse worked. I have to admit I was a little worried. But the kids did great. As long as they could get out and wiggle around every hour or so, they were fine. Here we are at the park along the Willamette River.
Once the conference was over, we headed to the Portland zoo. In general, the kids were still a little young but here we are in the parakeet aviary and I managed to catch this cool shot of a bird flying by Gryffin.
Zailey decided she would help me find the next exhibit. Paper sure tastes good...yummmm!
Gryffin is "How big?"
On Saturday night we went to a Portland staple - Pastini's Italian Restaurant. Lately, our usual go-to food for her has been avocado. But, an italian place doesn't serve avocado. So, we tried something new, a large piece of french bread. She went to town! She gummed the entire thing down with a vengeance!
