King's Mountain Art Fair

Ahhhh....the end of a three-day weekend.  You can hear the collective sigh from our house - although it is great to spend 3 days with our kids  - it is also EXHAUSTING.  We think they're both starting to get their 2-year molars.  So, they have a significantly increased cranky factor.  This amplifies typical 2-year old behavior and adds to typical sibling rivalry.  Joy.

But we did manage to have a pretty productive weekend.  On Monday we went to the King's Mountain Art Fair.  A standard event for Jesse growing up, since it takes place about mile down the road from where he grew up.

We managed to get a family photo,

But the kids were thrilled that Grams and G-Pa were there to hang out with them while mom and dad got to walk through the fair.  This is a great picture of Gryffin with his G-Pa.

We also managed to reclaim one of the rooms overrun with dust and junk during the bathroom remodel (I won't mention how long that is taking!).  All 4 of us would hang out in the room while Jesse and I would trade off "assigning tasks" for the kids to do.  Good thing they love to use spray bottles and paper towels to clean surfaces - they were actually quite helpful.  For the 30 seconds their attention would stay focused. But the best part was Zailey discovering my old stuffed animal collection.  The shear glee that she expressed at the sight of all her new found friends.
