So, this post has been sitting in the drafts folder for over a month now. I can't believe how time can just get away from you. Anyway, 4 days after coming home from the Virgin Islands we turned around and made the kids adjust back to Eastern time in Atlanta with my family.
They did amazingly well. It helped that they were so excited to ride on another plane. In fact this time they got to sit in the cockpit. I honestly thought that was a thing of the past. And now Gryffin thinks that every time we ride in a plane, he'll get to drive it...
We spent a lot of time with family, which was fantastic. We stayed at a resort on Lake Lanier for a few days and went to a water park with the kids.
The kids still aren't great with water, but I think they are getting a lot better. Of course, Zailey was really into the "outfits" she could change in and out of. In particular, she wanted to put the life jackets on and off.
They are also still getting used to fireworks. They love the beauty of them, but the bangs both scare them and hurt theirs ears. So, we had a wonderful outdoor dinner at Cafe Lily and then spent the entire show inside an empty restaurant trying to pier through a half obscured view of the show. But all in all, they are really getting good at traveling. We're really looking forward to future adventures with them.
Here are all the second cousins before the fireworks show - super cute!
